Krystal and her husband, Scott, met as students at Central Michigan University in 1993 and made Mt. Pleasant their permanent home after graduation. They have raised two daughters who went through the Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and were involved in many sports throughout the years. Swimming and soccer were a big part of their lives for years.

Krystal has been an active member of the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club since 2003 serving as President from 2009-2010. In 2012, she was awarded the prestigious Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce "Eagle Award" from the Mt. Pleasant Rotary Club for her volunteer work. She currently serves and has served as the co-director of the Rotary Youth Leadership Award since 2009. She is charged with planning and registration for this leadership camp which hosts about 70-80 high schoolers from Rotary's 6310 District for four days at Camp Rotary each June.

She is a mentor through Kids Hope USA which involves spending an hour each week with a student providing help with school work and companionship.

She also serves on the development committee for the Mt. Pleasant Area Community Foundation.

Krystal has been part of many committees over the years for the Central Michigan Association of Realtors. She is currenlty serving as a director on the board and is the chairperson for the Standard Forms Committee. She has been a top producer since 2015. In 2019, Krystal was the #1 Realtor in sales and was awarded 2020 Realtor of the Year.
